The Samsung Trade Up Programme (“Programme”) is provided by PC Dreams, a Samsung-approved independent third-party vendor (“Trade Up Vendor”), and gives customers the opportunity to receive monetary value for trading in their eligible devices (“Eligible Trade-in Device”) when they purchase a new Galaxy S21 5G/S21+5G/ S21 Ultra 5G/ S20/S20 FE 5G/S20+/S20+ BTS Edition/S20 Ultra 5G/ Z Flip/Z Flip 5G/ Fold/ Z Fold2 5G/ Note20/Note20 5G/Note20 Ultra 5G/ Tab S5e Series/ Tab S6 Series/ Tab S7 Series (“Eligible Samsung Device”).

Customers can purchase the Eligible Samsung Device via any authorised channel (Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Online Store, Electronics/IT Stores, Samsung Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee) to qualify for the Samsung Trade Up programme. Customers may participate in this programme via selected local Samsung Experience Stores (313@Somerset/Causeway Point/VivoCity/Westgate) or opt to trade in online. Trade-in values listed on Samsung Trade Up website are only approximate valuations. The actual value of your Eligible Trade-in Device will depend on the device’s actual condition. To obtain an accurate quote for your Eligible Trade-in Device, please bring the device to the selected Samsung Experience Store for device diagnostics or do an online evaluation here. The Programme is applicable to end-customers only; not trade, corporate or bulk purchases.

Online trade-in is fuss-free! The trade-in evaluation only takes a few minutes and can be done at your own convenience. Thereafter, we will collect your trade-in device at a date/time of your choosing. If the trade-in request is approved, the trade-in price will be transferred to your local bank account within 14 business days.

The Programme is only open to customers who (i) purchase an Eligible Samsung Device from authorized retailers, (ii) are Singapore residents aged 18 years and above, and (iii) have a bank account in Singapore.

  • For customers who have purchased an Eligible Samsung Device from the Samsung Official Store on Lazada/Shopee, a photo of the trade-up voucher, clearly showing the serial number, must be submitted.
  • Once you accept the trade-in offer, we will need your contact details and bank account information. Rest assured the information will only be used for us to transfer the trade-in value to your local bank account.
  • Schedule an appointment for us to collect your trade-in device. This is a complimentary service. Please see the FAQ on “Is there a fee to collect/return my device?” for more information on this service.
  • Upon receiving your device, we will run a device diagnosis to ascertain its condition to confirm the estimated quote. If it matches the online evaluation, we will transfer the trade-in value to your local bank account within 14 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). If there is a discrepancy, our customer service officer will contact you to advise further.
  • Should you decline the new quote, we will arrange to deliver the device back to you at no charge.

The Programme is only valid for 60 days from the purchase date of your new Eligible Samsung device.

The Programme is only applicable for purchases of Eligible Samsung Devices within the same category as the Eligible Trade-in Device, i.e. trade-in of an eligible smartphone is only allowed when an eligible Samsung smartphone is purchased, and trade-in of an eligible tablet is only allowed when an eligible Samsung tablet is purchased.

Samsung and PC Dreams reserve the right to make changes to the list of eligible smartphone and tablet models on Pcdreams.com.sg/samsung at any time without prior notice.

Brands/Models which are not listed as Eligible Trade-in Devices are not eligible for this Programme.

For each Eligible Samsung Device purchased, you are entitled to trade-in only one Eligible Trade-in Device.

Stolen phones (you can check whether the mobile phone is recorded on SPEX at this website: https://eservices.police.gov.sg/content/policehubhome/homepage/furnish-details-of-stolen-or-lost-property-report.html . In the event that the mobile phone is found to be reported lost or stolen, the seller’s particulars will be submitted to the police as required by the law.

We do offer free disposal assistance for our valuable customers at no cost. Simply send us the devices to Sim Lim Square @ Level 3, Unit 01. (PC Dreams) Our official recycler partner is Cimelia Resource Recovery.

The age, condition, and accessories included will affect the trade-in value of your items. Use our estimator at Evaluation to get an estimate for what your item may be worth. PC Dreams will evaluate your device and provide a competitive offer based on several factors, including age, condition, included accessories and current resale prices.

In certain cases, the symptoms combination points to different faults possibility, Thus we can only automate a price range quote to better represent the actual situation. Some examples are:
  1. No sound from speakers -> This could be a speakers fault, software fault or motherboard IC fault.
  2. USB port not working -> This could be a physical USB port fault, motherboard IC fault.
In such cases, we will need the evaluate the exact unit before we can offer an exact quote.

Our employees grade the condition and perform a functionality check. At a minimum, in order for us to accept a device it must turn on and function as a user would normally expect. There can’t be missing power supplies, and a battery powered device must run on its own battery. We assign a condition grade based upon our inspection.

RECYCLE.
Eligible device does not have any monetary value but will be collected and sent to a recycling partner that complies with the highest industry standards regarding the reuse, refurbishment or recycling of products as well as waste disposal generated from the recycling process.

Important note:

For Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices that use iOS 7 and above, you must disable the “Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod” function before the start of the trade-in transaction.

How to Turn Off “Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod”:

  • Tap on your “Settings” icon and go to the “iCloud” section.
  • If “Find My iPhone” is turned on, tap the slider to turn it off.
  • Enter your Apple ID password and tap “Turn Off.”
  • Verify that “Find My iPhone” has been turned off.

For Android 5.0 or newer, you must reset the device to factory settings before the start of the trade-in transaction.

  • Make sure the device is connected to the Internet or to the mobile network.
  • Open the Google Settings menu.
  • Under “Personal,” touch “Backup and reset.” You may need to enter your pattern, PIN, or password.
  • Under “Personal Data,” touch “Factory data reset.”
  • Read the information on the screen and touch “Reset phone.”
  • If the screen is locked, you will need to enter your pattern, PIN, or password.
  • When prompted, touch “Erase everything” to erase all data from your device’s internal storage.
  • When the device has finished erasing, select the option to reboot your device.

While we welcome and value feedback from our customers, our trade-in values are fixed at the time of our evaluation based on the type of product traded in, its market value, and its condition. However, once the device is received and physically assessed our team will reach you to secure the final value of the product.

Apply to all IT gadgets.

The current PDPA regulation requires any data still left in any device to be completely erased. You can be rest assured that none of your important information will be left in your device as we comply to industrial standard with our ISO 27001 Certified data erasure processes.

We suggest ensuring that all personal data is backed up beforehand. Once the devices are received, there will be no turning back to retrieve personal data.

The PC Dreams Trade-In Program is subject to secondhand dealer laws, which regulate the buying of used personal property. Many of these laws require businesses to collect information about the seller and the purchased product, and report it to law enforcement in an effort to reduce crime and recover stolen property. In some locations, to comply with applicable law, the personal information collected may include:

  • Full Name
  • NRIC/Work Pass No.
  • Residential Address
  • Contact Number

PC Dreams also reports certain information about trade-in transactions voluntarily in other locations. Additionally, PC Dreams may be required to share personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. PC Dreams reserves the right to report, and may be required to report, to law enforcement agencies any activities that PC Dreams believes to be unlawful. PC Dreams may share certain information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of others and ourselves. The collection time is subject to the arranged appointment upon submitting your trade-in order. However, the common time is between 1 pm to 6 pm from Monday to Friday.

Samsung Online Trade Up programme (“Programme”) is only open to customers who (i) purchase an eligible Samsung Galaxy device (“Eligible Samsung Device”) from 1 February 2020 onwards from Samsung authorised retailers, (ii) are Singapore residents aged 18 years and above, and (iii) have a bank account in Singapore.
  2. The Programme is provided by PC Dreams Pte Ltd (“PC Dreams”) as an independent third party. Please note that additional trade-in terms may apply between PC Dreams and Programme participants upon confirmation to proceed with the trade-in.
  3. The actual trade-in value of the trade-in device will be determined by PC Dreams at its sole discretion depending on the device model and condition. In this regard, the final trade-in value can only be determined after the trade-in device has been collected by PC Dreams and assessed by them. Should there be a change in the estimated quote after PC Dreams’ initial evaluation, PC Dreams will contact the participant separately. In such a situation, participants may either choose to accept the revised quote or have the device returned to them at no cost provided that the device model declared in the online evaluation matches the physical model of the device collected for evaluation. Otherwise, a S$19 surcharge will be applied for administrative and return delivery fees.
  4. To participate in the Programme, ALL of the following information must be submitted via pcdreams.com.sg/samsung:
      1. Trade-in device model, specifications and declaration of device condition;
      2. Newly purchased Eligible Samsung Device model, IMEI number and purchase date;
      3. Proof of purchase of Eligible Samsung Device;
      4. Participant’s contact details, device collection address and bank account details.
        • For customers who have purchased an Eligible Samsung Device from the Samsung Official Stores on Lazada or Shopee: Serial number  on the trade-up voucher (“Voucher”), which will be delivered together with the Eligible Samsung Device;
  5. Where clause 4(e) applies, the original Voucher must be submitted together with the trade-in device when it is collected.
  6. The IMEI/Serial Number of each Eligible Samsung Device utilised for the Programme will be recorded, to prevent duplicate participation in the Programme. Samsung and/or PC Dreams reserve(s) the right to reject any trade-in where the Eligible Samsung Device IMEI/Serial Number has previously been utilised for the Programme.
  7. This Programme is only applicable for purchases of Eligible Samsung Devices within the same category as the trade-in device, i.e. trade-in of a smartphone is only allowed when an eligible Samsung smartphone is purchased, whereas trade-in of a tablet is only allowed when an eligible Samsung tablet is purchased. Refer to pcdreams.com.sg/samsung for a full list of eligible trade-in devices. Samsung reserves the right to amend the list of eligible trade-in devices and their respective trade-in values at any time without prior notice.
  8. Payment for the Eligible Samsung Device must be made in full or instalment-approved to be eligible for this Programme.
  9. This Programme is applicable to end-customers only; not trade, corporate or bulk purchases.
  10. Each customer is entitled to participate in this Programme once per Eligible Samsung Device purchased, up to a maximum of 3 trade-ins per transaction (even if more than 3 Eligible Samsung Devices are purchased in that single transaction).
  11. Participation in this Programme is only valid for 60 days from the date of purchase of the Eligible Samsung Device. No extension of the validity period is allowed and unutilised Vouchers (if any) will be forfeited.
  12. Samsung reserves the right to reject Programme participation by persons whose details do not match the proof of purchase document(s), if Samsung suspects the promotional code or Voucher (if any) to be false or tampered with in any way, or if Samsung otherwise believes in its sole discretion that any of these Terms and Conditions have not been complied with.
  13. Product returns of Eligible Samsung Devices shall be valid only if the relevant product(s) are returned together with the Voucher(s) and free gift(s) (if any). All returns are additionally subject to the terms and conditions of the respective retailers.

Definition

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Our Official pickup service partners includes “Pickup” and PC Dreams Logistic team.
  • “Participating Drivers” refers to the driver who agreed to accept booking through the service offered by PC Dreams.
  • “Shipment” means all packages, parcels, delivery items or any part of the articles therein or contents thereof that travel under one delivery request, proposed journey, consignment note and/or invoice and which may be carried by any means PC Dreamschooses, including by land transportation or any other carrier. The service to be provided by PC Dreams is limited to the pickup, transportation and delivery of the shipment. Customer acknowledges that shipments may be consolidated with those of other requestor. Every shipment is transported on a limited liability basis as provided herein.
 

Charges

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Pickup Service offered by PC Dreams for PC Dreams Trade-in program were Free-Of-Charge*
  • Waiting time charges: In the event that a user is late for pickup/drop off, a grace period of 10 minutes applies once driver has reached the pickup/drop-off location. Subsequently, a $2 charge applies for every 10 minutes and/or part thereof of waiting time.
  • Cancel the order with half of the delivery fee being borne by the customer if the driver already showed up to perform the job.
  • For driver who is on the way to order destination: Driver will call to confirm the order prior to departing. If delivery is confirmed with the driver then and a cancellation happens after the scheduled time, 50% of the order fee will be chargeable to the customer. PC Dreams will assist in communicating the charges to the customer on the driver’s behalf.
 

User’s Obligations

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  •  The User warrants that he is either the Owner or the authorised agent of the Owner of the goods, and that he is authorised to accept and is accepting these Conditions not only for himself but also as agent for and on behalf of the Owner of the Goods.
  • The user warrants that he has complied with all laws and regulations relating to the nature, condition, packaging, handling, storage and carriage of the goods. User shall not dispatch and participating drivers reserve the right to refuse any articles that are prohibited by law, dangerous or hazardous materials, perishable substances, and radioactive material. The user is liable for any loss or damage suffered by any third party as a result of any breach of the terms. Participating drivers will not open and inspect the shipment, and bear no responsibility in any legal liability resulting from the transportation of the shipment.
  • User shall ensure that shipment is adequately packed to protect against damage in the course of transmission, and also that no part of the shipment may be removed without the case, wrapper or container being torn or broken, a seal being broken or two adhesive surfaces being forced part.
  • In the case of a shipment is of a fragile nature, that shipment shall be packaged in a case or container of sufficient durability and strength and shall be encased in or surrounded by sufficient and suitable protective material inside that case or container such that the shipment is guarded against damage that may result from any force, pressure or blows to which delivery items are ordinarily subject during the course of delivery and that such shipment shall bear the word “FRAGILE” prominently displayed in capital letters on the face of the case or container and above the address of the named addressee; and
  • In the case of a shipment which is susceptible to damage by bending, that the shipment shall be packed in a case or container of sufficient durability and strength to prevent the shipment from being bent or otherwise damaged during the course of delivery and such case or container shall bear the words “FRAGILE” prominently displayed in capital letters on the face of the case or container and above the address of the named addressee.
  • PC Dreams shall not be responsible to provide a protective service for the transportation of perishable commodities or commodities requiring protection from heat or cold. Such commodities will be accepted for transportation solely at the customer’s risk for any damages arising from the transportation.
  • The user shall provide in respect of each shipment all necessary information, including without limitation:
  • The user’s name, address (including the postal code) and telephone number;
  • The addressee’s name, delivery address (including the postal code) and telephone number;
  • Special precautions to be taken in respect of the shipment e.g. “FRAGILE”, “PERISHABLE”, “DO NOT BEND” etc.;
  • In the event that the recipient is found to be absent from the address specified by you and no other person is present to take the shipment, the delivery provider will contact you as the delivery requester to request further instructions on how to proceed. In the event delivery requester cannot be contacted either, your items will be delivered to PC Dreams’s office and the charge for this trip will be borne by the delivery requester. Should a redelivery of items be needed, a new delivery order will have to be placed. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate your access to PC Dreams and the services at any time without advance notice or liability if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have breached any of these terms or in our opinion you misuse PC Dreams or the services. This shall not limit our right to take any other action against you that we consider appropriate to defend our rights or those of any other person.
 

Engagement services outside of PC Dreams boundaries

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Customers should not engage with our drivers outside of PC Dreams’s boundaries directly/indirectly within a period of 12 months after the order is being completed.
  • Should customer have special requirements not catered within the PC Dreams platform, please contact our sales team at 63030535 and we would be more than happy to assist you.
 

Driver’s Liability

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Participating drivers shall take all reasonable precaution to prevent unauthorised persons from having access to the shipment and shall also take all reasonable precaution against loss of or damage to the shipment.
  • Participating drivers shall make reasonable effort to deliver the shipment according to the respective delivery schedules, which are estimates only and not guaranteed.
  • Any acts or omissions of any party other than the participating driver.
  • Participating drivers are not obligated to allow customers to ride with them. This is up to the discretion of the driver as PC Dreams’s insurance coverage strictly covers only the delivery items in the vehicle and not the passengers that request to ride with the driver.
 

Cancellation of order

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • The following table shows what constitutes as valid and non-valid cancellations by drivers:
  • The following penalties will apply to drivers for order cancellations without a valid reason:
  • When driver is on suspension, all future orders must be unassigned
  • Cancellation on and after order timing for immediate/scheduled orders will be confiscation of security deposit and permanent ban
  • Cancellation 20mins before order timing for scheduled orders will be permanent ban
  • Drivers reserve the rights to cancel the order if the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes starting from the indicated order pickup time chosen by the user.
  • In such scenario, drivers will not be liable for any disruption to users’ deliveries.
  • In such scenario, drivers will not be able to claim for any waiting time charges and/or cancellation fees from users or PC Dreams
 

PC Dreams’s Liability

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Customer agrees that PC Dreams’s liability in respect of the shipment is strictly limited to direct loss only.  All other types of loss or damage are excluded (including but not limited to loss of profits, income, interest, future business, or loss of revenue resulting from loss of use), whether such loss or damage is special or indirect, and even if the risk of such loss or damage was brought to PC Dreams’s attention before or after acceptance of the delivery request. customer shall insure at its own costs against any risks in respect of the shipment.
  • PC Dreams’s total liability in respect of any shipment shall be limited to its actual cash value but in any event shall not exceed SGD$150.00 and or whichever is lower.
 

Claims

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • Any claims must be made within 24 hours after the delivery has been completed, failing which PC Dreams shall have no liability whatsoever.
  • All claims must be made in writing, accompanied by the delivery order number, contact information and other supporting documents requested by PC Dreams and submitted to the following WhatsApp: 63030535.
  • Claims are limited to one claim per delivery order, settlement of which shall be full and final settlement for all loss or damage in connection therewith.
  • Without prejudice to clause 6 and provided that PC Dreams is satisfied that the user’s claim is justified, PC Dreams ’s liability for any loss of or damage to the delivery item shall be limited to the value of the delivery Item or SGD$150 per delivery order, whichever is lower.
  • In the case of damage to the delivery Item, the amount of compensation by PC Dreams shall be based on PC Dreams’s assessment of the extent of the damage to and the actual cash value of the contents of the delivery item provided always that the amount of compensation shall not exceed the compensation limits. In the case of loss of or damage to the delivery item, PC Dreams shall have the option of either replacing the delivery item or making monetary compensation within the compensation limits.
 

Disclaimer

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • The software is delivered to you on an “as is” basis and although PC Dreams has used its best endeavors to ensure that the software will work properly on your mobile device, PC Dreams does not warrant the performance of the software nor the compatibility of the software with your mobile device.
  • PC Dreams provides logistics platform service and the services provided are part of the on-demand sharing economy. PC Dreams makes no guarantee of the availability of the services, the availability of vehicles through the use of the services, the accuracy of the data or information provided as part of the services or the quality of the services of the participating drivers.
  • PC Dreams shall not be liable for any damages, claims or costs whatsoever including any consequential, indirect, incidental damages or any loss of profit or damages to your mobile device as a result of your use of the Services or your installation and/or execution of the software even if Lalamove or its representative has been advised of the possibility of such loss, damage or claim.
  • PC Dreams shall not be liable for any loss or damages, including any injury which you may suffer as a result of your delivery, transportation or journey in the vehicle of participating drivers hired through the services and all your rights in relation thereto and in relation to the contract for hire between you and the relevant participating drivers shall be a matter between you and the relevant participating drivers.
  • PC Dreams is not the agent of participating drivers or users and is not a party to the contract for the hiring of the participating drivers.
  • The foregoing limitations and exclusions apply to the extent permitted by law.
 

Miscellaneous

As a “Consumer” of PC Dreams Trade-in program, you hereby agree and confirm to the following terms of use:

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
