The 42% intervention rate represents the portion of IT assets we successfully rescue from the shredder and restore for a “Second Life.” Unlike traditional recyclers who focus on scrap value, our NTU-trained engineers harvest components and restore devices to maximize utility, which is 91% more carbon-efficient than recycling.
Do you provide on-site decommissioning and collection?

Do you give a certificate of destruction for each device?

Will you pay us for our old laptops? How much?
Yes, we buy back what still has value. Send photos or a list with the models and we quote for each item. As a guide, laptops and desktops from 2018 onwards usually have buyback value. We are an official buyback partner for Microsoft, Lenovo, HP and Asus.
Is there a minimum number of devices?
There is no minimum number of devices: enquire with us.
We are moving office next month. Can you clear our IT equipment?
Yes. Tell us the move date and send a list or photos; we plan the collection around it. We collect daily.

Yes. We also take servers, including data servers.
What happens to devices that cannot be reused?
What cannot be reused goes to our e-waste recycling partner. In 2024/25, 42% of the devices myhalo handled were upcycled for reuse.

- Data & privacy: We perform a secure wipe by default. Please back up any important data before hand-in; myhalo isn’t liable for residual data.
- Inspection & verification: Devices undergo diagnostic, cosmetic, and functionality checks before offer confirmation.
- Market & parts variance: Offers reflect current market pricing, parts availability, battery health, configuration, and repair costs.
- Exclusions: Prices are not applicable for devices that are counterfeit, blacklisted/stolen, heavily modified, or water-damaged.
- Collection: We collect from your office when you have at least 5 eligible devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, monitors or servers).
