NYP Online Talk

10 July 2025

On 10 July 2025, our Founder and Managing Director, Tan Ching Hwee, was invited to conduct an online talk at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) on a topic that continues to shape the heart of myhalo’s mission: “Journey Towards a Zero e-Waste Future.”

As one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, e-waste is not just an environmental issue. It’s a call to rethink how we consume, discard, and extend the life of our tech. During the session, Ching Hwee shared insights on the invisible impact of our daily digital habits and how repair, reuse, and responsible upcycling can create ripple effects beyond the classroom.

With a focus on individual empowerment, the talk encouraged students to take small but meaningful steps toward sustainable digital living. From choosing refurbished devices to advocating for greener school initiatives, every action contributes to a more circular, zero e-waste economy.

The session was part of our ongoing commitment to engage young minds in climate-conscious innovation, and we’re proud to collaborate with institutions like NYP to inspire the changemakers of tomorrow.
