Our surveys reveal a startling fact: working Singaporean adults have an average of 3.3 inactive small electronic devices at home. Many of these devices are partially functional or non-functional, often containing important data.
Hence, myhalo came up with the ‘De-Clutter Your e-Clutter’ initiative to encourage the public to responsibly de-clutter old and not-in-use devices; by collecting old/faulty devices, safely erasing data that is in the device and finally donating them to the needy or sending the not usable devices to R2 certified e-waste recycling companies.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I drop off old phones, laptops, and tablets in Singapore?
You can drop off your devices at myhalo CircularXchange, Bugis Junction #03-25/26, open 11am–8pm daily.
What items do you accept for De-Clutter Your e-Clutter?
We accept phones, laptops, tablets, device accessories, routers, modems, powerbanks, headphones, earbuds, and digital cameras—including old, faulty, or not-in-use devices.
Can I bring very old devices like iPhone 4/5 or laptops more than 10 years old?
Yes—bring them in. We accept very old devices too. We’ll sort them to decide the best next step: upcycle for sale, upcycle for donation, or recycle responsibly if they can’t be put back into use.
What happens to my device after I drop it off?
We prioritise keeping devices in circulation:
First: Upcycling for sale (so devices get a second life)
Second: Upcycling for donation (via bridgethedigitaldivide.sg)
Last: Recycling through certified partners, only for devices that can’t be reused
This approach reduces the number of devices sent for recycling.
Do you recycle everything that’s dropped off?
No—recycling is the last resort. We aim to upcycle for sale or donation first, and only recycle what’s truly not reusable.
I want to sell my old device—how do I do that?
If you’re looking to sell / trade-in, you can get an instant quote online and follow the drop-off or collection options provided.
Will you still buy my device if it’s very old or has issues?
Often, yes—but value depends on model and condition. For very old or low-demand devices, the best outcome may be upcycling for donation or responsible recycling—either way, your device is diverted from waste where possible.
Is my data erased before anything else happens?
Yes. Devices go through data erasure aligned to ISO 27001 before being directed to upcycling (sale/donation) or recycling pathways.
What if my device cannot turn on or is partially working?
You can still drop it off. If it’s not suitable for a second life, it will be handled through R2-certified e-waste recycling partners for responsible processing.
How does donation work (Bridge the Digital Divide)?
Eligible devices that are directed to donation support digital inclusion via bridgethedigitaldivide.sg (they also list donation drop-off locations including myhalo @ Bugis Junction).
Do I get anything for decluttering my devices?
Eligible devices that are directed to donation support digital inclusion via bridgethedigitaldivide.sg (they also list donation drop-off locations including myhalo @ Bugis Junction).
Do I get anything for decluttering my devices?
Yes — the De-Clutter initiative offers a $30 voucher, and it is issued once per customer, regardless of how many devices you drop off in that visit/submission.
What if I want to keep using my device—can myhalo help me fix it instead of decluttering?
Yes. If your device is slow, battery life is poor, or it has performance issues, myhalo also provides an option for customers to fix their devices, so you can extend its lifespan instead of replacing it.
